So. Something interrupted my next part for Rec-verse.

Whumptober.

So, instead of getting the fluffier fic sooner, you all are getting the whump drabble series twice a week for the rest of the month. First post will be prompts 1-7, then 8-15, then 16-23, then 24-31.

I already have the first thirteen written. I started last night. They don’t all focus around Tobirama and Madara – there’s bits with the rest of their families too. So. Uh. Yeah. Also, it’s going to be nonlinear. There are bits from early childhood to current, to some time in the near future.

I am looking forward to it! 😀

I’ll start posting on it tonight, probably. Assuming I can title. Titles are hard.

Slap whatever first thing comes to your mind. It worked for me last few times xD

(I literally remembered that a fic needed a title right before clicking the post button. Terrible feeling to have everything put down and tagged and no title T-T)

I had a title before I went to sleep. xD Then I forgot what it was. I was telling myself how I was going to summarize it and shit, and I’m mad because I fell asleep and forgot.

(I’m also a little horrible at these things. xD)

1. If you could study or research something until you reached a point of satisfaction (money is not an object), what would it be?

People. People are really interesting, from linguistics to social behavior, and everyone’s different. It’s fascinating.

2. Which fast-food joint has the best cheeseburger in your opinion?

Fast food. Ew. Well. Nope. I don’t know any fast food place that has good cheeseburgers.

3. What is your favourite fairy tale and why?

Shit. Hrmmmm…. I do like the cuter versions of fox bride stories. Like the one with the farmer, who at the end is telling her that she can always come back because he loves her.

4. What adjectives do you ascribe to your favourite number?

NIce and round. Some people think it’s evil.

5. If you could have any animal as a domesticated pet (do not do this) what would it be?

Foxes or red pandas – which are too good, too pure for this world – because they’re damned adorable.

6. If you wrote a book about your life, what would the cover look like?

Like half a view of a shitty small town, and the ocean. Because.

7. Do you like diet coke or are you a monster?

Diet coke is a nasty form of something that was already nasty. Cola tastes like cigarette ashes, and diet…. the fake sugars taste so gross. (I know it’s psychosomatic, but it’s still, definitely a thing for me.) Give me Dr. Pepper any day.

8. What is the view outside of your window right now? If you cannot see a window, what is the view from your home?

Parking lot with lots of cars, and trees in a line down the middle.

9. What size is your foot and when did it stop growing?

Size 5 American Men’s, or anywhere between Size 7-8 ½ American Women’s. They stopped growing when I was about 12. Along with the rest of me, though I tried to make up for it by growing out.

10. What are you top 3 karaoke songs?

Never did karaoke, but always liked singing “Better Shape Up” from Grease whenever it played at work.

11. Who’s wedding (that you attended) was the worst and why?

I barely remember any of the weddings I attended, but I’m going to say the wedding between my dad and stepmom, because she told me I was too fat to be a bridesmaid!!! So you know, fuck you too, Lyanna.

My Proposed Questions!

1. What is the absolute worst soda you’ve ever had? And your favorite?

2. Favorite smell?

3. Cities, small towns, or the middle of nowhere?

4. Sunshine, overcast, rain or full on storming?

5. Describe your favorite animal, without actually saying what it is.

6. Favorite season and why?

7. If you were a bird, what kind of bird would you be?

8. Spiders or snakes?

9. Would you rather walk two miles to the store on a nice day, or run back and forth to your car when it’s storming?

10. Favorite ethnic food? What part of the world is it from, and why do you like it so much?

11. Favorite viral video/post/meme?

Tagging people? Uhm. Off the top of my head let’s see how many people I can think of. @novatite, @dahtwitchi, @darkinufan, @donkoogrr, @ishkabibblie, @inconveniencedneutrons, @power-horngry, @shark-03, @yupingsan, @anyone else who wants to, because I have no idea who else. I managed nine? That’s good.

sorry if youve answered this somewhere else, but what do your whistling in the dark posts mean? are those all of the animals youve seen that day?

“Whistling in the dark” is a reference to a song by They Might Be Giants, and uh. In this instance it pretty much means that 90% of the reason I’m posting this is for myself, because I don’t expect a reply. The animal thing… is how many animals I count while I’m working.

(´ヮ`)♡

You’re the first person to actually ask me about it. And I was just waiting for someone to ask, because I’m weird like that.

For the writer’s ask: 1, 9, 14. Can I have it for the Rec-verse and Healer-verse or am I asking for too much? ^^

💕OOOOooh. Okay! Here goes!

1. What inspired this fic?

Rec-verse: The idea of it getting recognized that Madara needed help, and then actually getting therapy. Then it devolved into worldbuilding. xD

Healer-verse: There’s this one scene in the manga, where Hashirama is telling Tobirama to put his finger down. The first time I read it, when Hashirama raised his chakra like he did, it looked to me like Tobirama was actually flinching. Which raised some questions I wanted to answer.

9. Favorite line(s) of dialogue?

Rec-verse: This one came up last chapter.

“Say I indulge your curiosity,” Yoshihiko was saying. “What can you give me in return?” The question makes every project Tobirama has ever worked on flash before his eyes, and it was only seconds before he found his answer.

“Youth.”

Healer-verse: This one’s harder, but I’ve found a couple of lines I liked.

“It’s just a burn, Sensei. Slap some salve on it, and let me get back to my spar.”

And that would be why Hikaku was sent to him. Obnoxious and demanding, and assuming he knew more than the healer treating him. Tobirama gave him a sweet smile that left the man blinking. Then he did as instructed, much to Hikaku’s shock. And the pained yelp was satisfying. “Never let it be said that I don’t take instructions well.”

14. Were you listening to anything while writing the fic? If so, what?

For both, I can honestly say I wasn’t. I love music, I really do, but it doesn’t help me think the way it does for others.

(💕💕💕💕💕💕)

from your writing ask–can you answer 7, 15, 17, and 18 for the rec-verse fics? (sorry for so many i just love reading about the writing process??)

No prob! (I usually don’t see results to these kinds of posts. x3)

7. What’s a reference you made no one has picked up on yet?

That is… an excellent question. I’ve made quite a few. One in particular was a really, really obvious reference to The Sound of Silence, and I hope it was the kind of joke that just didn’t dignify a response. xD There’s also something that one reviewer made a really close guess at, but they missed it by a hair regarding Kagami. But Madara hasn’t realized it yet either.

15. What were you most worried about during the composition?

Being clear. I mean, some things are deliberately unclear, but I have a bad habit of putting things in a way that they don’t quite make sense to anyone but me. Which is… not good. x’D I had a lot of worries about first posting the bit with Yoshihiko, too. I’m still a bit worried about his next appearance. (And I want to say I’m just being silly, but… I haven’t even started that bit. >.<’)

17. Did anything surprise you during the writing?

Sometimes characters develop a life of their own. And sometimes, you have a character that you don’t really intend to keep coming back does just that. x’D There were also some background details that happened at the last minute, but I fell in love with. (Also, the love people have shown for the side characters surprised me in a really good way. 💕)

18. Were there any alternate versions of this fic?

Ehr… Technically, there is one. @donkoogrr and I have been working on a crossover between Rec-verse and the Sugar-verse, which is super fun.

I would like to think that, at some point in your fic series, we will meet Akimichi Tamotsu’s mother-in-law and our protags may actually have to team up and fight her.

x’D Well, I’ve got to admit, we were initially planning to leave Tamotsu’s mother-in-law as a running gag. Esp since no one seemed to notice her. But because of you, fate has shifted, and there will later be an encounter in the series. How it’s going to work? You’ll have to wait and see.
